Part of being able to decipher a Wedgwood mark includes being able to correctly identify the shape number. Wedgwood used about 54 different four digit shape number codes that corresponded with a particular shape on file at the Wedgwood factory for the fairyland lustre line. We have images of 32 of those shapes. The other 22 are listed, but rarely seen because of their odd shapes. Don’t confuse the Wedgwood fairyland shape number with the pattern number. The pattern number starts with a Z and then has four numbers. The Wedgwood shape number is just four digits.
